Pop-punk and alternative rock artist LØLØ (the musical moniker of Canadian singer-songwriter Lauren Mandel) packs a punch with her sophomore album, god forbid a girl spits out her feelings!. For fans looking to twist Avril Lavigne’s pop-punk energy with Taylor Swift’s raw lyricism, god forbid a girl spits out her feelings! is a pointed yet cohesive collection of diary entries that fans can’t put down. The album, released April 17 via Fearless Records, includes thirteen tracks and is a follow-up to 2024’s falling for robots and wishing I was one.
The title track emerges as an opening to LØLØ’s diary collection, as she claims, “Baby, it’s just poetry / No need to be offended, well / If you tell me sick, dark, dirty lies / I’m gonna turn ‘em into rhymes.” LØLØ is notorious for this kind of punchy lyricism, and the title track provides a backbone for the album. From there, the artist weaves powerhouse pop-punk songs with ballads, all exploring themes of rejection and emotional honesty – even with herself.
The album is also now a home for fan-favorite tracks “The Devil Wears Converse” and “American Zombie,” singles released last summer that were included on the setlist during many live performances in 2025. Newer, commanding singles, including “007” and “The Punisher,” cushion self-deprecating songs “Dumbest Girl in the World” and “Delusional Darling,” which feature LØLØ’s signature relatability with lyrics such as “Here comes the poster child of stupidity / Look how she digs her own grave and dives in so exquisitely.” While promoting her new album on The Travis Mills Show, LØLØ admitted to being “masochistic” and possibly making behavioral choices in her personal life in order to generate song material: “That’s so funny that you ask that because my therapist asked me the same thing.” Slower ballads featured on the album include “Whiskey & Coke” and the album’s closer, “Lobotomy & U.”

LØLØ recently kicked off the European leg of her new tour, “God Forbid a Girl Goes on Tour!” after canceling U.S. dates from last fall’s “U Tour Me On” tour due to the development of vocal polyps. The artist underwent a successful surgery and vocal rest period and appears to be ready to tour full steam ahead as she also recently announced tour dates across Southeast Asia in support of pop-punk band Simple Plan, whom she supported throughout their “Bigger Than You Think!” tour in 2025. Fans are still awaiting LØLØ’s announcement of North American dates for “God Forbid a Girl Goes on Tour!” but she is slated to perform at multiple Warped Tour dates this summer.
